  1. To do this, open the Steam client program.
  2. Click on the Library button at the top of the Steam window.
  3. Right-click on Anti-Shock: Global Offensive to select properties.
  4. Click on the Local Files tab (see below).
  5. Click on the option Check integrity of game file.

4. Disable Windows Defender Firewall

CS: GO server errors can be caused by the Windows Defender firewall preventing a game from connecting to a server.

  1. To disable WDF, press the Windows key combination + the S key.
  2. Input firewall to search for a WDF applet.
  3. Click on Windows Defender Firewall to open the Control Panel shown below.
  4. Click on the link to turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off.
  5. Select Disable Windows Defender Firewall and click OK.

5. Disable third-party antivirus programs

Users with third-party antivirus programs may need to disable or even remove them to avoid blocking CS: EDI. Avast, Kaspersky, BullGuard, Norton Security and Bitdefender are some of the AV programs that include firewalls.

Normally, AV utilities can be disabled by right-clicking on their icons in the taskbar and selecting Disable Setup from the context menu.

Some antivirus programs also include additional options to turn firewalls on and off.

However, some users need to completely uninstall third-party antivirus software so that it no longer blocks CS: EDI. You can uninstall AV software from the Programs and Features section, just like any other software.

6. Steam factory repair

  1. To resolve VAC server connection errors, try restoring Steam. First, make sure steam is turned off.
  2. Press the Windows key + the R key combination.
  3. Enter this command in the Open field:

C:Program Files (x86)SteambinSteamService.exe /repair.

  • Note that users who have not installed Steam in the default program files folder will need to change the path to the SteamService.exe file in this command.
  1. Then click the OK button.

7. Switching to Google DNS server

  1. If you switch to the Google DNS server, you can use CS : GO server error. Right-click on the Start button and select Run.
  2. Type ncpa.cpl in the Open box and click OK.
  3. From there, right-click on your network connection and select Properties.
  4. Double-click on Wi-Fi properties to open the window shown below.
  5. Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
  6. In the Preferred DNS server field, type 8.8.8.8.
  7. Type 8.8.4.4 in the Alternative DNS Server field.
  8. Check the Verify settings on exit box.
  9. Press OK key.

Here are some of the most likely fixes for Counter-Strike that are not related to server bugs. Also try to remove unnecessary third-party programs from Windows startup.
